Some places are better told through shadow than through light. Florence, for us, is one of them: not the golden city of the postcards, but its narrow alleys, the cool of the stone at dawn, the moss that grows where the sun never truly reaches.
Ombra Fiorentina was born from a simple observation: that elegance often hides in what is not immediately visible. We wanted a fragrance able to return that precise sensation — the moment you step from direct sun into the shade of a courtyard, and the temperature, and the mood, change together.
Not every fragrance has to shine. Some simply have to have depth.
The composition is built on green and earthy notes, bound to a heart of dark leather and a base of moss and damp woods. It is not a fragrance that imposes itself: it is a fragrance you discover, a little at a time, the way you discover a city walked slowly rather than in haste.
A portrait, not a tourist memory
We did not want to create yet another postcard interpretation of Florence. We wanted a more honest portrait: that of a city which, by day, belongs to its visitors, and which at dawn belongs only to those who truly live in it.
